This is one benefit I forgot to put in the article! Thanks for reminding me. If there are roles that are higher than my friends are on but lower than what I'm willing to move for I will often share those with my broader network.

I'm not willing to refer a friend to something that I know is worse than they can find on their own, but if I find a "hot lead" I'm passing that around.
